Design & Construction: Aluminium front, compact dual-system chassis
370 × 550 × 497 mm, 18.2 kg: for a unit with dual burr mills and two parallel fluid systems, the footprint is comparatively compact. The front panel is 3 mm solid aluminium, indicating professional-grade positioning. The chassis is designed for permanent placement on a stable, level work surface; wall mounting is not provided for and is not permitted according to the operating manual.
The control interface combines a TFT colour display with variable display buttons and a rotary switch. Touch operation is not available. For operators in office environments, this is not a limitation, as the rotary switch is operable with gloves and is more robust against accidental inputs than capacitive displays. The menu structure requires familiarisation time; users without training will not immediately locate all 43 beverage options. The operating manual specifies that commercial use requires trained personnel.
The combination outlet is adjustable in height from 70 to 159 mm and in width from 20 to 50 mm. This accommodates espresso cups as well as 360 ml carafes. The separate hot water outlet is adjustable in height from 69 to 165 mm. Both outlet systems are designed for daily disassembly and cleaning; the care guide describes this as a daily task and requires trained personnel.
The 1,000 g bean hopper and 5 litre water tank are accessible at the unit's top edge. When placed beneath an overhead cabinet, the unit's height of 550 mm becomes a critical dimension. For an open office kitchen without overhead cabinets, this is not an issue; anyone wishing to integrate the unit must allow for at least 600 mm clear height plus filling clearance. The unit is not designed for installation beneath an extractor hood.
At 18.2 kg, the unit's weight is low for its class. Transport and initial installation can be managed by two people without lifting equipment. After commissioning, the unit should only be moved with the tank empty to prevent water leakage. The operating manual requires a level, water-resistant work surface; liquid leakage during normal operation is possible, so a rubber mat or suitable substrate protects the work surface.
The colour and visual design are understated. According to the sources reviewed, JURA does not offer colour variants for this model. The unit is designed to operate unobtrusively. For a commercial unit in an office corridor or shared kitchen, an unobtrusive appearance is not a limitation. The build quality meets what is expected of a Swiss premium mid-range unit.
