Nuova Simonelli Prontobar
8.0Very goodUp to 140 espressos or 100 cappuccini per hour, touchscreen menu and two grinders: the Nuova Simonelli Prontobar positions itself as a B2B automatic coffee machine for medium-sized locations with 80 to 200 employees. Cleaning requires a minimum of four minutes daily plus additional care of the milk system, which must be factored into catering or office routines. An external milk cooler is mandatory and adds over 2,000 EUR net if EasyCream and a matching milk cooler are ordered. The machine scarcely justifies its investment for lower throughput or unsuitable water quality—a water filter is essential. The machine price ranges from 5,289 to 7,261 EUR net according to dealers; a complete maintenance kit costs 328 EUR net annually. Running costs for consumables and cleaning add up quickly. Those needing reproducible beverage quality and a touchscreen menu for diverse user groups in office, hotel, or university catering environments receive a robustly engineered automatic machine. For locations with fewer than 80 people or low cappuccino demand, the machine is typically oversized.
