Term from the vending glossary
BDV (Bundesverband Automatenwirtschaft e.V.): National trade association of the German vending industry. Represents operators, manufacturers and suppliers to government and the public; publishes annual market data for the German vending market.
The Federal Association of the German Vending Machine Industry (Bundesverband Automatenwirtschaft e.V.) is the trade association representing vending operators, manufacturers and suppliers in Germany. It represents the industry before lawmakers and regulatory authorities, publishes fact sheets on topics such as structural stability, fire protection and installation requirements, and collects market data on revenue, equipment inventory and installation locations.
For operators, the practical value lies especially in the fact sheets. They summarize what building codes, occupational safety and hygiene law actually require at the machine—questions not addressed in machine documentation, since they concern installation rather than the device itself.
