Our verdict

6.4Good

The SandenVendo G-Drink Standard DM6 is a refrigerated glass-front drinks machine with a vertical lift system. According to the manufacturer, the standard version holds up to 336 0.33-litre cans or 240 0.5-litre PET bottles; the wider DM9 holds up to 504 or 360 units, respectively. This verdict is a source-based data review, not a hands-on test of a machine: dispensing quality, fault rates, noise and actual replenishment capacity were not measured. Strengths include clearly differentiated variants, a refrigerated product range, up to 42 or 63 selections, and support for Executive/MDB payment interfaces. Before ordering, operators should specify the cabinet width, scope of delivery and refrigerant in particular. The energy consumption figures conflict: SandenVendo states 624 kWh/year, while Lavazza Professional states 252 Wh/h. On 02.10.2026, SnackMe listed the DM6 at €6,820 net without accessories, plus VAT and shipping; DGA Vending lists it at €6,850 and currently marks it as sold out. These are dealer prices, not the manufacturer's recommended retail price; check availability and final price before ordering. The DM6 suits indoor locations with less width to spare, while the DM9 is for operators seeking a wider selection.

Pros & cons

Pros

  • Two clearly defined widths: 940 mm for the DM6 and 1,215 mm for the DM9; height and depth are the same.
  • Refrigerated interior, with a manufacturer-specified range of +2 to +10 °C and electronic temperature control.
  • Lift dispensing instead of a drop mechanism; suitability for your own packaging can be tested in a demonstration beforehand.
  • Up to 42 selections on the DM6 or 63 on the DM9, if ordered in a seven-level configuration.

Cons

  • Public data do not establish a failure rate, average repair time or comprehensive service-level agreements.
  • There is no verified comparable complete quotation for the DM6; a single dealer price for the DM9 is not a market price overview.
  • The annual energy consumption figures conflict: the manufacturer’s data sheet states 624 kWh/year, while Lavazza Professional states 252 Wh/h.
  • Payment systems are optional; Executive/MDB interfaces do not establish that a coin validator, banknote reader or card reader is included in the scope of delivery.

Review

Design & construction

Last updated: 2026-10-02. Review type: source-based data review; no independent inspection or load testing. This report assesses the G-Drink Standard DM6 as the reference model and includes the larger DM9 where the manufacturer’s data allow a direct comparison. Design, Touch, Outdoor and Vendo Legend models are distinct variants; their features must not be assumed to apply to the Standard without verification. The official G-Drink Standard product page describes an illuminated glass front and a vertical lift system.

The DM6 measures 940 mm wide, 1,830 mm high and 845 mm deep; its net weight without options is 295 kg. The DM9 is 1,215 mm wide, with the same height and depth, and weighs 345 kg. This means the DM9 requires 275 mm more wall width. Calculated as footprint only, excluding operating, door, ventilation and maintenance clearances, the DM6 takes up approximately 0.79 m² and the DM9 approximately 1.03 m². These areas are calculated from the published external dimensions and are not a substitute for an installation plan. Both machines are heavy floor-standing units; confirm the delivery route, door widths, stairs, floor condition and access into the premises with the supplier before ordering.

The model family includes more than these two standard machines. SandenVendo also offers the G-Drink Design, Design Touch and Outdoor, among others; their product pages specify their own finishes and use characteristics. The Standard should therefore not be advertised or ordered as having a touchscreen, outdoor protection or a particular refrigerant based on the name “G-Drink” alone. For operators, the exact type designation on the quotation, delivery note and rating plate matters more than the abbreviated shop listing.

Before approving the installation location, the operator should prepare a scaled plan showing the machine, product collection area, door opening and service access. The manufacturer’s dimensions refer to the machine itself; connection space and manoeuvring room must be added. The quotation should also confirm whether levelling feet, fixings, a plinth, transit protection and the requested cabinet colour are included. These are not documented as standard features of the Standard package; they are configuration details to confirm in advance.

Technology & features

The G-Drink dispenses products using a vertical lift with a gripper or catcher, rather than a conventional drop mechanism. SandenVendo says the vertical rail can pass over products that have accidentally fallen. This is a plausible design advantage for bottles and more delicate packaging, but it is a manufacturer claim: no damaged packs, failed vend attempts, dispensing times or failure rates were independently measured for this report. Operators should therefore test actual dispensing during a demonstration using their own bottle and can formats.

The temperature is electronically controlled; the manufacturer specifies an internal temperature range of +2 to +10 °C. The data sheet names HCD as the cooling unit. Maximum connected power is 370 W. The listed power supply is 230/240 V at 50/60 Hz. These figures describe connection and maximum values, not average power consumption in day-to-day operation. A payment unit is not automatically included in the purchase price either: the manufacturer lists Executive and MDB as supported protocols and includes the payment system in its options list. This does not mean a coin validator, banknote reader, card reader or telemetry is fitted as standard. The configuration, compatibility, fees and data contract should therefore each be specified in the quotation.

The refrigerant depends on the specific configuration. SandenVendo promotes an Eco configuration of the G-Drink family using R290; this does not establish that every Standard DM6 or DM9 is supplied with it. Before ordering, the supplier should confirm in writing which refrigerant the quoted machine contains, what safety and maintenance requirements apply, and whether this configuration is covered by the intended location and service partner. The same applies to the controller: SENVEND support distinguishes mechanical SVE01 machines from Touch models with Linux control. Check any software or telemetry feature against the controller actually installed rather than inferring it from the model family name alone.

For the DM6, the manufacturer’s data sheet states energy efficiency class C and annual consumption of 624 kWh; for the DM9 it states 817 kWh/year. A Lavazza Professional dealer page, however, lists 252 Wh/h for the DM6. Extrapolated over 8,760 hours in a year, this would be around 2,208 kWh. These figures are not consistent. As the dealer figure’s measurement conditions and unit context are not explained in more detail, we do not replace the manufacturer’s figure with a guess: the discrepancy remains unresolved and must be checked against the energy label on the specific delivered unit and the underlying test conditions.

Operation & maintenance

Do not use the rated power of 370 W as the continuous consumption when calculating ongoing energy costs. This is the maximum connected power stated by the manufacturer; the published annual figure is 624 kWh for the DM6 and 817 kWh for the DM9. Using your own net electricity rate, you can calculate an initial comparison: 624 kWh × price per kWh for the DM6 and 817 kWh × price per kWh for the DM9. The calculation is only as reliable as the consumption figure it uses. Given Lavazza’s different figure of 252 Wh/h, operators should request the energy label and the model/serial number of the quoted machine before preparing a profitability calculation. Installation temperature, usage, door openings and settings can also affect actual consumption; no measurement is available here.

A general promise such as “Europe-wide network” is not enough to establish maintenance and service coverage. The official partner directory lists German contacts, including Automatenprofi and Hohenloher Verkaufsautomaten; these entries do not establish comprehensive coverage, fixed response times, spare-parts stocks or service-level agreements. During the purchase discussion, the operator should give the supplier the site postcode and confirm in writing who handles fault reports, which work is carried out on site, how call-out and labour are charged, and which parts are actually available. It should also be clear who is responsible for a fault in the cooling system or lift, and whether a replacement machine or a defined restoration time is promised.

The published installation and service manual covers G-Drink/G-Drink-DR machines and includes guidance on cooling problems, such as a dirty condenser or fan or seal issues. It also states that work behind protective covers should be carried out only by qualified or authorised personnel. This is an older revision and does not replace the instructions for the specific delivered production version. Operators should receive the current documentation with the machine and distinguish clearly between simple operator tasks and work for a service technician.

We cannot provide a reliable failure rate: there are no long-term measurements or representative records of operating hours. A local SandenVendo specialist dealer publishes customer reports on its website about repairs to G-Drink machines and the rapid sourcing of a thermostat. These are supplier-linked references, not an independent failure-rate dataset. They chiefly illustrate why an accessible specialist and confirmed spare-parts routes belong in the operator’s decision. For this section, documented service capability and outstanding evidence carry more weight than an unsupported promise of reliability.

Capacity & range

The main differences between the DM6 and DM9 are cabinet width and the number of selections. Each level offers six selections on the DM6 and nine on the DM9. The manufacturer specifies five levels as standard and up to seven as the maximum. This gives 30 or 45 selections in the standard configuration and a maximum of 42 or 63 with seven levels. A selection is a separately selectable product choice; it is not the same as the total number of products the machine can hold.

For a single packaging format, SandenVendo states a capacity of up to 336 0.33-litre cans or 240 0.5-litre PET bottles for the DM6. For the DM9, the maximum figures are 504 cans or 360 PET bottles. These are manufacturer figures for maximum loading, not a guaranteed fill quantity for a mixed planogram or product mix. Bottle shape, diameter, height, weight and how the product sits in the compartment all affect whether it can be dispensed reliably. For glass bottles, operators should therefore bring a sample of the specific pack to the demonstration and get written approval for that exact packaging.

Compared with the DM6, the DM9 offers 50 percent more selections and 50 percent more maximum can or PET capacity, while requiring around 29 percent more machine width. This is a useful initial comparison, but not a sales forecast: a wider selection is worthwhile only if demand and replenishment frequency support it. Actual sales by product, delivery frequency, seasonality and minimum stock levels are more useful for route planning than theoretical full capacity. Operators should start with a list of planned SKUs, their package dimensions and expected daily sales.

Before placing an order, it is advisable to test the best-selling and most mechanically demanding products: slim cans, wide PET bottles, glass containers and unusual shapes. Check the product selection, gripping action and collection process together. A reliable list of compatible package dimensions, the stocking instructions and the specific compartment configuration should form part of the handover. The public documentation does not provide complete dimensional limits for all packages; maximum can capacity cannot fill that gap.

Price / value

At the time of research on 02.10.2026, SnackMe listed the G-Drink DM6 Indoor at €6,820 without accessories, plus VAT and shipping (dealer listing). DGA Vending lists the same DM6 at €6,850; its product page currently marks it as sold out (DGA listing). These are individual dealer listings, not a manufacturer list price or a promise of current availability. The base price shown on this page of €6,820 is a net price without accessories; confirm availability, VAT, shipping and the exact configuration with the supplier before ordering. Accessories, payment technology, transport, installation and service may further change the invoice total. For comparison, SpätiMat lists the wider G-Drink DM9 Indoor at €7,275 net. This price does not apply to the DM6.

The publicly available information is also insufficient for a reliable total cost of ownership calculation. In addition to the purchase price, the comparison should include electricity, payment fees, telemetry/SIM, product losses, replenishment and cleaning effort, maintenance, spare parts, financing and any site costs. For the energy component, operators should multiply the annual consumption figure confirmed by the supplier by their own tariff; given the documented discrepancy, a sensitivity analysis using a verified measurement or label figure is also advisable. We do not assume a standard electricity price or service charge.

The value-for-money score of 5.0 is therefore neutral and provisional. It means neither “average market price” nor “poor value”: reliable, comparable complete quotations are lacking for the DM6, and only one dealer price is available here even for the DM9. The other sub-scores assess the documented features and the limitations visible in this data review. The overall score of 6.4 out of 10 is calculated from the five equally weighted sub-scores; it is an editorial assessment of the available sources, not a measurement from an independent machine test.

Before making a decision, operators should compare at least two written quotations with identical scopes of delivery. Both should itemise the net purchase price, payment system and its transaction and monthly fees, commissioning, transport, warranty coverage, service-call labour costs and spare-parts availability. For leasing or hire purchase, add the term, effective annual interest rate, final payment and transfer of ownership. Only once these items and a verified energy consumption figure are available can annual costs or cost per vend be meaningfully compared with another cold-drinks machine.

Sielaff SiVend ST

7.5Good

The Sielaff SiVend ST is a professional, configurable vending platform for fixed indoor locations. Its strengths lie in visible product display and the ability to configure compartments, payment, and service for the specific site. This same configuration complexity makes ordering demanding: dimensions, planogram, payment scope, telemetry, and service must be documented in writing to match the specific build. For the reviewed configuration, dimensions of 790 × 1,830 × 880 mm and approximately 300 kg are documented. These are planning values, not a guarantee for every variant. The SiVend ST suits enterprises, educational institutions, and public spaces with predictable demand. For small or changing locations, the platform is often too complex. Our assessment: interesting for a planned vending operation, but reliable only after dimensional verification, pilot deployment, and a complete specification.
