Term from the vending glossary
Vending Management System: software platform for centralized management of multiple machines. Functions: telemetry monitoring, sales statistics, route planning, remote pricing control, and malfunction alerting. Market-leading platforms: Nayax, Cantaloupe, Invenda.
A Vending Management System is the operational control centre of a machine fleet: it maintains master data for equipment, locations and products, captures sales data, generates stocking recommendations and service route lists, and provides settlement by location.
Value emerges only with data discipline. A system where planograms are not maintained and service calls are not logged produces reports that no one trusts. Conversely, it converts slot-level sales data into actionable decisions on assortment and service intervals — and this is the factor that determines profitability in vending operations.
