The Franke SB1200 is not a high-throughput machine, but a self-service machine. At up to 250 cups per day, according to Franke's own product overview it ranks exactly at A800 level and below the A1000 with 300 cups. Its premium is justified by two other features: the 12.1-inch display, the largest in the product line, and IndividualMilk Technology with two completely separate FoamMaster systems that keep cow's milk and plant-based milk separate from container to cup. Operators running unattended sites with substantial plant-based milk demand will not find this combination elsewhere in the A-Line. Two points warrant clarification before ordering: the required water quality of 4 to 8 degrees total hardness with less than 0.5 milligrams chlorine per litre, which at many sites requires a filtration solution, and the fact that Franke supplies the station without cabinetry. Neither the manufacturer nor any of the retailers reviewed publishes a list price.
